Adult BedBugs are small – about the size of an apple seed (3/16 to 1/4 Inch). Their color may alter a bit depending upon their most recent feeding.

Bed Bug Infestation
A Bed Bug infestation can happen at any time during the year. All you need is for a neighbor to have a bed bug infestation that eventually happens to travel into your home. Or you bring in a used piece of furniture of clothing that has bugs on them.
You can even pick up bugs on your clothing when you visit an infected neighbor. BedBugs have been found in Libraries, Stores, on buses, and in theaters. Anywhere there are people there can be Bed Bugs.
We’ve been without an infestation for years. But recently a neighbor got an infestation that grew into our home. Just like anyone else we had to get treated even though our home was clean and uncluttered.
Many people think that getting these bugs is a sign of a dirty home. Nothing could be further from the truth. These pests are attracted to people not dirt. All a dirty or cluttered house does is give them more places to hide.
So one of the first things that you should do to get rid of BedBugs is clean clutter – especially around the areas where you sleep.
Bed Bug Treatment
Getting treated for Bed Bugs isn’t fun or easy. The first thing that you have to get over, if you have a professional treatment, is the thought of a stranger coming into your home. For many, this can be a problem.
Then there is the problem of having dangerous chemicals sprayed in your home. Although there are natural products you can use though they are slower.
For Bed Bug treatment you need an exterminator who knows what they are doing and they will want to check each room. They are looking for pockets of the bugs that are located where ever you might sit or sleep for extended periods. The larger a Bed Bug infestation the more areas that will require treatment.
Many times, if a person finds signs of the bugs in their bed they will try sleeping in another room. All this does is get the bugs to follow them into other rooms.
Get Rid Of Bed Bugs
What is the best way to get rid of Bed Bugs? In my opinion it takes good preparation, effective treatment, and follow up as needed.
Good preparation includes identifying where an infestation is located. If needed, it also includes de-cluttering to make it easier to treat your home. Then it includes preparing your bed to make it a bed bug-free zone.
Effective treatment can include pesticides or natural methods. Finally, and maybe most importantly, you need to re-treat as needed to kill any eggs as they hatch.
Bed Bug Extermination
Bed Bug extermination takes a plan and follow through if you want to get rid of these bugs. Failure to follow through will only make the problem worse.
