One of the first things that people ask about when they have an infestation is where do bed bugs hide that makes them so hard to kill?
Their small flat size makes it easy for them to get into all sorts of places. Just a small rip or puncture in your mattress or box springs and they can get inside. This is why you need to use a mattress enclosure when you treat for them.
They can crawl up a wall and hide behind picture frames. The small spaces between and under the wood of side tables are ideal hiding spots. I’ve even found the bugs hidden inside books that are near my bed.
Even though the bugs can crawl as much as 20 feet to and from their blood meal every night the closer they are to their victims the easier it is for them to eat.
They will get along the edges of your carpet and hide under the edge. If you are looking always carefully look along the seams of your mattress and box springs. Check the bed frame closely. If you have hollow metal feet on your frame this is another excellent place to hide.
Learning where do bed bugs hide gives you the information that you need to be just as creative at treating as they are at hiding. Check out my book for the exact steps that you should take to get rid of the pests!
